We're Aliyah Kamenetzky, Talia Hillel, and Hunter Bailey, 8th graders at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, Florida.
We founded Neptune's Guard, a student-led organization dedicated to protecting and restoring our ocean's coral reefs. This project is also our official MYP Final Project, which means its success will be measured, evaluated and showcased at school and in our community. Every donation directly supports our mission and helps us prove that students can make a real impact in our communities and on our planet. As the next generation, we're taking responsibility for the health of the oceans we'll one day inherit.
Our goal is to raise money for Frost Science's coral conservation programs and other local organizations that plant and restore coral reefs throughout Miami and the Florida Keys. Coral reefs are vital, they protect our coastlines from flooding and storms, support beautiful marine species, and keep Florida's marine ecosystems alive.
We're also launching beach cleanup initiatives to remove trash and plastic before it enters the ocean. Anyone who has stepped on debris at the beach knows how harmful and unpleasant it is. Clean beaches mean healthier reefs, protected wildlife and safer coastlines for everyone.
Every dollar raised goes directly to these efforts: reef restoration, ocean health and education, and stopping pollution before it reaches the water. As ocean lovers and free divers, we feel a responsibility to protect the reefs that protect us. Conservation is protecting a future before it disappears. It's choosing action over indifference and hope over hesitation.
Together, we can help save Florida reefs--because this isn't just our project. This is our planet and humanity's home. If we want a thriving future, the fight its ours right now.
Our mission starts here. With your help, your stewardship and belief in us, we can take lasting, critical steps to make restoration and ocean health a reality.
